the irony of a face reveal in the most famous show about masks!

This made me like your mom 😂 You’re going to have to see Jellicle Ball now!

I actually saw Jellicle Ball off-Broadway, and it was a BLAST. It's better than it has any right to be.

I love your mom! And as Abraham Lincoln once said, "All that I am, or hope to be, I owe to my angel mother."

See, this is my worst nightmare and I do enjoy immersive theater with the best being Ghost Light at the Vivian Beaumont. It functioned as a love letter to theater, the physical space as well as the work of creating a show. The most wistful portion came with an elegy to the pieces of a script that have to be ruthlessly culled as we sat in a dark space with bits of a script all over the floor. The performer mentioned his favorite parts of script were the stage directions, entrances and exits that ended up lost to time....literally there was no time for them. He read some out loud and I wept. So I enjoy immersive, just not a mega-musical.

WOW! I am really regretting missing that now. It sounds beautiful and haunting—which is definitely what Masquerade *wants* to be.

1. I can’t believe your mom thinks Les Miz is bad

2. Riley was our Johanna in Sweeney at the MUNY and is so talented and sweet!

3. Even with 2.5 🌈 I think I still want to see this???!

I also think Les Miz is bad, I would like his mom!

Also, Beth, I think someone who likes the underlying source material would probably find it to be a 🌈🌈🌈 experience at least.

The irony is that she now LOVES Les Miz (and Miss Saigon), and recently accused ME of being a snob when I referred to “One Day More” as schmaltz!
